PPC Director

Estimated Salary Range: $150,000+ (negotiable)

8+ years experience

In this role, you will oversee some of our strategic clients which are each spending more than 6 figures a month on PPC, focusing on maintaining client relationships, preventing churn, and supporting team performance. You will ensure that account strategies align with client goals.

Here’s what we’re looking for in a PPC Director:

  • Proven Leadership in Media Buying: Experience in high-level media buying and leading teams within an agency setting. Demonstrated success in scaling high-budget PPC campaigns and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Advanced Platform Proficiency: Deep familiarity with platforms such as Google Analytics, YouTube Ads, Bing Ads, and Shopify. The ability to leverage these tools for comprehensive campaign insights and data-driven decision-making is essential.
  • Strategic Innovation: A history of integrating cross-channel data to develop innovative PPC strategies that align with broader business objectives.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience in working with creative and technical teams to optimize ad creatives, landing pages, and overall campaign performance.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive PPC strategies for a portfolio of high-budget clients (each investing over six figures per month on Google Ads).
  • Client Partnership: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through strategic briefings and regular performance reviews, ensuring campaigns align with client goals.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of PPC professionals, delegating responsibilities effectively while fostering a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Innovation & Optimization: Oversee the creation and testing of strategic hypotheses, guiding the implementation of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) experiments to drive continuous campaign improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative and design teams to refine ad graphics and landing pages, ensuring seamless integration of PPC strategies with overall marketing efforts.

Strategic & Financial KPIs

Client Retention & Churn Rate:

  • Goal: Maintain a churn rate below a specified threshold (e.g., <5% monthly churn) across high-budget accounts.
  • Measurement: Track monthly retention rates and implement corrective actions if trends indicate risk.

Revenue Growth:

  • Goal: Achieve a targeted percentage increase in revenue from PPC campaigns (e.g., 10-15% quarter-over-quarter growth).
  • Measurement: Monitor overall account revenue and upsell opportunities.

ROI/ROAS Optimization:

  • Goal: Ensure that campaigns deliver a high Return on Investment (ROI) and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), meeting or exceeding industry benchmarks.
  • Measurement: Regularly review campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

Team Member Performance & Development:

  • Goal: Elevate team productivity and skills through regular performance reviews, training sessions, and mentorship programs.
  • Measurement: Use performance scorecards, individual development plans, and employee satisfaction surveys.

How You’ll Be Working:

We are a fully remote team with flexibility, but we operate on a 9-6 ET schedule and require full availability during these hours. We are focused on growth, and there’s ample opportunity to develop skills, take on new responsibilities, and earn salary increases as you progress.
